We deliver water to 540 patrons. Which turns out to be around 8,260 acres of land. The water rights come from Big Butte Creek with 100 CFS . To deliver the water to Eagle Point ,it takes 18 mile long main canals with 165 miles of laterals.
We also have a privately funded 1 megawatt power plant built below Pacific Corp in 1984. Purchased by EPID in 1994 to help offset water rates paid by the patrons. The power plant helps bring down the water rates, which makes it one of the lowest rates in Oregon at $41.00 per acre. Other districts around the valley are in the $70.00 range per acre.
Our Mission at Eagle Point Irrigation District is to deliver water rightfully and proficiently with the least amount of cost to our patrons, keeping in mind the need for wide range of planning and environmental impact. Through leadership, effective operations, approachable customer service and the motivation of our crew, Eagle Point Irrigation District will follow to protect and preserve local natural and ecosystems through the use of water.
